We will have an exam in class on Thursday, Feb. 28. It will be closed book,
but we will provide a copy of the templates for SD derivation as given on the
front inside jacket of our textbook.
The professor has graciously prepared a practice exam, which can be found on
our course web page. It will give you an idea of what the format, length and
scope of the exam will be. I highly recommend that you do the practice, since
it contains several things that were not on previous homeworks (and the exam
will contain such things too).
The exam will also include derivations that involve more rules of SD than are
required on the practice. You should be able to do the exercises on pages 148,
151, 154, 157, 159 and 165-168 of your textbook (I recommend starting with
some from the last set, or at least looking at their answers in your answer
book, and then practicing some from each of the previous sets).
I will hold a review session from 7-9PM on Wed., Feb. 27, in 1131 Humanities.
I will spend the first hour demonstrating how to do the problems on the
practice (plus some extras) and will spend the second hour answering
questions.
Best Wishes,
