Subject: Exam

Aside from the fact that the specific questions are different, there are two differences between the practice exam and the exam you will take on Thursday. (1) The derivations section is worth twice as much (i.e. 60% of the grade rather than 30%,) and (2) the derivations section requires you to use more rules. The questions are otherwise very similar in kind to the practice. The derivation questions are similar in kind but slightly more difficult than those in 5.1.1 through 5.1.5 of your text book. In the review session 7-9PM on Wed., Feb. 27, in 1131 Humanities, we will go over the practice exam and problems 5.4 7h,i and L from the textbook (these are harder than the ones on the test, but I think it is better to practice problems than are too hard than ones that are too easy). See you tomorrow!

Best Wishes,

Chris
