Andrew’s dissertation focuses on defending a Ramsey-Lewis conception of laws. Born in Chicagoland, he received his undergraduate degree in the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. In addition to laws of nature, Andrew is also interested in the relationship between prediction and confirmation, the epistemology of scientific communities, and the implications of quantum indeterminacy in various areas of philosophy. Andrew’s non-philosophical interests include gardening, cooking, genealogy, and strumming his acoustic guitar.
