Position title: Metaphysics, Philosophy of Language, Epistemology, Social Philosophy
Professor Loets’s research interests lie in metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophy of language. She is particularly interested in the metaphysics of ordinary objects, persons, action and ability, and the social world, as well as questions about identity, modality, reference, and vagueness raised in the relevant debates. Recent publications include `Choice Points for a Theory of Normality’ (Mind, 2021), `Qua Objects and Their Limits’ (Mind 2021), `Qua Qualification’ (Philosophers’ Imprint, 2021), and `Agentive Duality Reconsidered’ (Philosophical Studies, 2022 (with Julia Zakkou)).
