Jeremy works in Indian and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, with a focus on the ethical implications of Buddhist metaphysical and epistemological arguments. He takes a multidisciplinary and cross-cultural approach to philosophical questions, using the textual analysis of premodern Sanskrit and Tibetan sources to shed light on contemporary questions. His present research explores the ethical, political, and cognitive profile of distraction and inattention. Jeremy is also an editor with 84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha, a nonprofit dedicated to the English translation of the Tibetan Buddhist canon, as well as an affiliate of the UW Center for South Asia.

Jeremy received a doctorate from UW-Madison in the Department of Asian Languages & Cultures, and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Alongside his academic training, his interests and areas of specialization reflect nine years spent in a Tibetan monastic college in India.
