
Andrew works primarily in philosophy of science. His interests span the philosophy of data and measurement, scientific modeling and representation, causation and explanation, values in science, and issues in moral, political, and social philosophy that pertain to science (e.g., scientific communication, public trust in scientific institutions, and science & technology policy). He also has interests in the history of science and natural philosophy. Prior to coming to Wisconsin, Andrew earned an M.A. in philosophy and a B.A. (magna cum laude) in natural sciences, both from Boston College.
